Candy Corn Cat Toy

I wanted to try coming up with my own design for some fall-themed cat toys, and so a candy corn was born! I used bulky yarn to make them sturdy, but worsted would work as well.

Pattern:

You’ll need a bit of white yarn, orange yarn, and yellow yarn (or brown for the caramel variety), and don’t forget the catnip!

With size 8 needles, CO 5 st with the white yarn

row 1: K1, KFB, K1, KFB, K1
row 2: Purl row
row 3: K2, KFB, K1, KFB, K2
row 4: Purl row
row 5: Change to orange yarn, K3, KFB, K1, KFB, K3
row 6: Purl row
row 7: K4, KFB, K1, KFB, K4
row 8: Purl row
row 9: K5, KFB, K1, KFB, K5
row 10: Purl row
row 11: K6, KFB, K1, KFB, K6
row 12: Purl row
row 13: K7, KFB, K1, KFB, K7
row 14: Purl row
row 15: K8, KFB, K1, KFB, K8
row 16: Purl row
row 17: Change to yellow yarn, Knit row
row 18: Purl row
row 19: Knit row
row 20: Purl row
row 21: Knit row
row 22: Purl row

Bind off all stitches. Fold in half and sew up the sides, stuff with catnip and then sew up the bottom.
